Whole Body Vibration Therapy
A gentle way to support circulation, lymphatic flow, and recovery after red light therapy.
Whole-body vibration (WBV) uses low-amplitude mechanical movement to stimulate muscles, circulation and the lymphatic system. At Sacramento Red Light Therapy, we recommend brief vibration sessions immediately after your pod sessions to help the body mobilize and clear metabolic byproducts released during light-based cellular stimulation.
Why We Pair Vibration with
Red Light Therapy
Red and near-infrared light support mitochondrial activity, circulation, and tissue repair. Following your pod session with vibration adds gentle mechanical movement that enhances fluid flow and systemic circulation.
How Whole Body Vibration Works
Four stages of whole-body vibration that deliver mechanical stimulation, activating muscles, circulation, and cellular function.
Neuromuscular Activation
The vibration platform generates controlled oscillations in the 30–50 Hz range, transmitting gentle mechanical energy throughout the body. These subtle vibrations stimulate sensory receptors in muscles and joints, activating the neuromuscular system and preparing the body to respond.
Muscle Engagement
As the body adapts to the vibrations, muscles respond involuntarily through rapid stretch-reflex contractions. These contractions can occur dozens of times per second, recruiting more muscle fibers than voluntary movement alone.
Circulation & Lymphatic Flow
The repeated muscle contractions act like a pump, encouraging blood flow and helping move lymphatic fluid through the body. This may support circulation, nutrient delivery, and the natural removal of metabolic waste.
Cellular & Bone Support
Mechanical stimulation from vibration may also influence cellular activity in muscle and bone tissue. Research suggests it can stimulate bone-forming cells and may support beneficial hormonal responses associated with recovery and tissue health.

Enhance Your Session
Whole-body vibration is included & complements your red light therapy visit. Following your Light Pod session, vibration therapy helps stimulate circulation and lymphatic flow, supporting your body as it processes what cells release during red light therapy.
Together, Red Light and Vibration Therapy Support:
Lymphatic movement and fluid drainage
Circulation and oxygen delivery
Muscle activation and recovery
Post-session detoxification pathways
Tissue nourishment and metabolic clearance
What to Expect
After your pod session, you’ll step on to the vibration plate. Sessions are brief and comfortable. You’ll remain fully clothed and stand on the platform for approximately 10 minutes. You will be in control of the vibration speed and time.
Some of our clients bring air pods or headphones.
